On this day 30 years ago, the AN225 took off for the first time.

The aircraft was controlled by a crew consisting of Oleksandr Galunenko, captain, Sergii Gorbik, co-pilot, Sergii Nechaev, test navigator, Oleksandr Shuleschenko, test flight engineer, Volodymyr Gusar, test flight engineer, Vyacheslav Belousov, test flight engineer, Mykhaylo Kharschenko, leading test engineer. It was the first flight and the first step in the sky of this amazing giant aircraft. The AN-225

The AN-225 has set 462 aviation records: 240 world records and 222 Ukrainian national records.
