50th anniversary of the first flight of the Boeing 737

Today marks the 50th anniversary of the first flight of the Boeing 737. With Boeing’s Centenary having just been last year, it makes it quite interesting that the 737 has been around for half of the company’s lifetime; a fact I didn’t know before today. Personally, I love the 737 and look forward to flying one day on the 737 MAX 8. Up until last summer, the largest aircraft I had been on was the Sun Country Airlines 737-800.
