~The Beggning & Expansion of Hainan Airlines~

Hainan Airlines Co., Ltd. is an airline headquartered in Haikou, Hainan, People’s Republic of China. Established in October 1989 as Hainan Province Airlines in Hainan, the largest special economic zone in China. Hainan Province Airlines became China’s first joint-stock air-transport company following a restructuring in January 1993 and began scheduled services on 2 May 1993. The initial 250 million yuan (US$31.25 million) was financed by the Hainan government (5.33%) and the corporate staff (20%). The rest came from institutional shareholders. In 1996, the provincial airline was renamed Hainan Airlines.

And since the airlines have grown rapidly across China, Asia and the world, as it is the largest civilian-run and majority state-owned air transport company, making it the fourth-largest airline in terms of fleet size in the People’s Republic of China. Being also the tenth-largest airline in Asia in terms of passengers carried, Hainan has grown to become one of the largest airlines in the worldwide aviation market, with an evergrowing route network, extending to new places annually. This is where the Boeing 787-9 has played a huge role in their expansion, giving them the opportunity to operate long-distance routes to some of the world’s biggest and most important tourist areas and financial hubs with low-fuel burn per seat and lower maintenance costs.

Hainan operates international regular flights and offers charter flights to 51 various destinations in 28 countries such as flights from Beijing to Almaty, Toronto, Berlin, Brussels, Seattle/Tacoma, St. Petersburg, Moscow, Tel Aviv, Chicago, Las Vegas, San Jose/Silicon Valley and Boston; Beijing, Xi’an, Dalian, Guangzhou, Haikou to Taipei; Beijing, Haikou, Nanning to Bangkok; Hefei via Haikou to Singapore and many more destinations worldwide.

~The Hounory Awards of Hainan Airlines~

Hainan Airlines is one of ten airlines worldwide rated as five-star by Skytrax, along with All Nippon Airways, Asiana Airlines, Cathay Pacific, EVA Air, Garuda Indonesia, Japan Airlines, Lufthansa, Qatar Airways and Singapore Airlines.

In June 2019, Hainan were ranked as #7 in the Skytrax World’s Top 10 Airlines of 2019 Ratings and had won in the following additional categories: Best Airline in China: World’s Best Business Class Amenities, Best Airline Staff in China, Best Airline Cabin Cleanliness in China and Best Cabin Crew in China.

With the new award came a repaint of an old livery to the aircraft; B-1343, where the gold-painted fuselage is all that remains of the previous ‘Kung Fu Panda’ special scheme livery, with the old decals having been removed.

Unlikely the Kung Fu Panda livery will come due to Copyright Issues, but Thank You Very Much for you support :)

It does look odd at first sight, the Panda is gone, sad face, but, that does allow it for making it into IF without any licensing issues from DreamWorks Animation’s part ;)

Though the plane does have a rather glamorous side when the sun shines on the fuselage. It’s a mix of copper and gold, simply said.

But Thanks for the compliment. Took some time and work to get this request format done :)

Simple color but different from the crowd. Thank You Marc.

@MishaCamp Yeah it’s ugly. And sadly, I was on this plane four times to LAX, departure from four different airports. But like @Captain_JR said, other 787’s special liveries from Hainan Airlines might have licensing issue if put them into IF.

But seriously, that copper with the red is pretty intense.

Let me ask you guys something, @MishaCamp and @Levet.

I know that opinions are opinions, I respect everyone’s and I too even till today after been looking at this livery for quite some time for the past months, before deciding to post this request, think the color is… how do it put it; Powerful, if I say so.

But by looking at the reply’s I’d like to say Thank You for the compliments on the format of request main post, though hearing all opinions, I start to feel like that this livery has a small chance of making it in… Keeping the faith it will someone, still.

Then again, I know many factors weigh when a livery is decided to be included in Infinite Flight and it could be just me overthinking now after a long day at school, and I did expect critics 😅

Horrible livery… Its more to do. But good Luck

Now I’m just worried about you. Do you need a hug?

What you think about this @Gabriel_f

Powerful, it could mean both positive things and negative things. Depends on how you take it.

Virtual Hug Misha 🤗

Your topic was handsomely formatted. Sometimes its worth the effort otherwise if a topic never existed for certain things then they may go by unnoticed. Btw, copper paint looks great at times on vehicles in particular and sometimes not so great.

Good answer! I’ll stop train-wrecking this well formatted request now 🥰
