About GX Airlines
Guangxi Beibu Gulf Airlines, or simply GX Airlines (Chinese: 北部湾航空; pinyin: Běibùwān Hángkōng), is a Chinese airline based at Nanning Wuxu International Airport, Guangxi Province. Established as a joint venture between Tianjin Airlines (70% stake) and the Guangxi Beibu Gulf Investment Group (30%), it commenced operations on February 13, 2015. GX Airlines focuses on domestic routes across China and is expanding to international destinations in Southeast Asia, such as Singapore, Bangkok, and Hanoi. As of July 2024, its fleet includes 28 aircraft, serving 71 destinations.
About the Airbus A320neo
The Airbus A320neo (neo for “New Engine Option”) is a narrow-body, twin-engine airliner from Airbus’ A320neo family, designed for short- to medium-haul flights. Powered by CFM International LEAP-1A or Pratt & Whitney PW1100G engines and fitted with sharklet wingtip devices, it delivers 15–20% better fuel efficiency and a reduced noise footprint compared to the A320ceo. GX Airlines’ A320neo, equipped with LEAP-1A26 engines, features a single-class configuration with 180 Economy seats, offering ergonomic design, modern cabin systems, and ample overhead storage for passenger comfort on domestic and regional routes.
