Guess that Aircraft Part!

In addition to working on my pilot certificates, I am also working towards my A&P Certificate (airplane mechanic). This is something which I enjoy very much and also find fascinating. I was a pilot before beginning to become an mechanic so I find the knowledge that I obtain in the hanger incredibly important. Aside from the value of the information gained, I think its just cool to see how airplanes work.

With this in mind, I thought lets play a game! I will post various aircraft parts and components. You, the user, will attempt to guess what part is photographed and what it does. The first correct answer for each picture will be the winner, with points tallied and displayed. Correct responses will be awarded 10 points. Good luck to all!

Ok my real guess is a Generator
I’m not gonna be specific

A couple of close guesses but not the right one yet!

Looks similar to a distributor on a car. Wires are different with the springs on the end.

Is it some red wires with some black thing? My best guess

@Dubya Looks like an ignition harness? I believe that is the part that carries electricity to different spark plugs throughout the engine.
