I have more than 300 flight hours in infinite flight and only 3 violations but why do i need to have 250 landings for grade 4? I only have 85 landings.
Keep on landing
Flying in a straight line isn’t seen as particularly skilful, so numerous landings and takeoff which are notorious for being the most difficult phases of flight are seen as a vital statistic both in simulators and real life.
You don’t meet the requirement for grade 4
Find an interesting airport and try your best at tight patterns. You can go as fast as two landings a minute when you get a C-208 and use high sensitivity. That will get you up to Grade 4.
For more information on your grade table and how to read it, refer to this tutorial.
You can touch and take off, go to NASA KNRC with a Cessna citataion X
I use a super decathlon and find a quiet runway take off and the super decathlon is very good at tight turns and quick landings. You can really get your landing count up quickly as many at 50 in 30 mins
Adding on, landings are also counted for real flight as well. Landing is the hardest part of a flight (apart from takeoffs). It is good to know you are an experienced pilot with how many landings you have completed.
Just keep up the landings. I used to hate landings but now they are my favorite part of the flight because in the last 2,500 feet of your journey there are lots of things you need to do. Do some tight patterns at an airport like KTNN in a general aviation aircraft in increase landings. A suggestion I make is don’t do more than 8 per day because you may take a break from IF for a week and drop a grade because of the 90 day requirement. I was a grade 5 because I did 5-8 landings per day and now because of work and school I can’t keep up with that amount so I am dropped a grade.
I find that the TBM is better for this as it’s really dynamic at the slow speeds if you’re willing to pull some G’s of course ;)
Yes It could also be a TBM.
