You canceled a takeoff clearance that hadn’t been given.
Because he started his takeoff without my permission
Right…so “hold short” or “hold position”.
You can’t cancel that which doesn’t exist.

Novice error, I think there is not a command to say, that you are not authorized to take off

“Hold short”
“Hold position.” followed by “You were not cleared to enter the runway.” If they’re already past the point of holding short.
But you need to use one of the affirmative commands. If they request, you need to give them a hold short, or a hold position if they have already entered. One of those affirmative commands which dictate a specific action.
We have been discussing a few things to help with the training server and expert server pilot behaviour. No comment on what or what yet, but hopefully a few things will come in the near future.
