Google Play Error

Just started today
When trying to launch IF through my tablet on home Wifi, I get “Google Play Error”.
I have done the following:

  • Rebooted the device multiple times
  • Reset the home Wifi x3
  • Tried on Mobile Hotspot (It works this way only)
  • Toggled Airplane mode x2 for several mins.
  • Google DNS
  • Reset network settings on Tablet
  • I’m not using a VPN.
  • Not having any issues with other apps/games
  • I also use IF on my Phone: Galaxy Note 20. When connected to the wifi through this device, I have no issues.

Device: Samsung Galaxy Tab S9+
SM-X810
Operating system: Android 14
IF: 24.2.2
Loc: US

Have you tried redownloading the app? Could be a bug or something.

But it must have something to do with your WiFi if it works with mobile data.

This might me a dumb detail but make sure the date of the device is updated, like hour day or year. I am 98% sure I got this in the past and that was the way to get rid of it.

I forgot to add this part but yes, I reinstalled it twice.

I’m not sure there’s anything wrong with the Wifi because my Phone is connected through the Wifi and I can connect to IF just fine.

I did check this as well and the time is good.
I’m puzzled on this one lol.

Sorry it did not work, and yes, I would be puzzled to but for some reason it is a problem nowadays, my smart TV can stop working because of it sometimes

Try clicking OK to see if the popup disappears. If it does, wait for a moment. If it reappears, return to the home screen, clear the background, and restart the game
Be sure to check that all Google services are up to date

If that doesn’t work, I’ve tried something else. Try launching the game from Google Play and make sure Google Play is running in the background while the game is running
Using a VPN has often worked for me (although almost the entire community is against it). Switching between the East Coast, the West Coast and the middle region always gives me a chance to get into the game
