Today is the last takeoff of a 747 EL AL from Tel Aviv After 48 years And 21 aircraft 4X-ELC Take off to Rome The plane with 400 passengers Mostly employees of EL AL and Israel Airports Authority The plane will return Sunday Create the 747 over Cyprus And come back to Ben Gurion For scrapping like the whole 747-400

This is very sad for me I have been on El Als 744 countless times
Sad to see the bird go
My memories as a child going (on the big plane), looking out the window and seeing the land of ארץ ישראעל from the 744s big windows and looking happily not being able to contain myself from smiling just looking out…

I’m sad too My first flight was with him Travelers enjoy more At 787 But To me as an aviation enthusiast There is nothing like 747
