so on Sunday, I was pretty bored, so I decided to go spotting! this time, I wanted to change it up just a bit. I wanted to attempt golden hour spotting this time! I never really tried something like this, so this is a unique (and majestic) experience for me!

I admit, this isn’t really super duper “golden”, hence the title… the weather app said it was going to pour like crazy but a few minutes later it lied, thankfully! the results turned out pretty okay I gotta say for my 4th session using an actual camera hah…

random stuffs!

gear: White Canon EOS M200 with a black 55-250mm IS STM. truly a sleeper build

time for photos yay!

first up we got a majestic A350-900ULR from Singapore to Kennedy as SQ24, a very long flight!

next up we have a very cool looking Icelandair 757-200 from Reykjavik! consider this transatlantic? lmk!

okay now we got a cool FedEx 767-300F, which is wearing a 100th 767 sticker! that’s a lot of planes.

next up, we have a nice China Southern Cargo 777F coming from… ANC? CAN? I really don’t remember…

now it’s time for the ultra majestic JAL A350-1000 arrival! this is my favorite aircraft ever.

now, we have a beautiful Finnair A330-300 wearing an special abstract Marimekko livery! big fan of this.

here, we got a very hip and cool Alaska 737-900 from Seattle I think. or maybe Portland. who knows?

this JetBlue A320 is probably my coolest golden shot considering my other ones aren’t much gold lol

one of many London to JFK arrivals today! this Speedbird is arriving in beautiful goldenish light!

lastly, we have a beautiful Virgin Atlantic A350-1000 coming from Heathrow as the sun sets below.

She was coming in from Seattle. I just looked on FlightRadar for flights coming in Sunday evening and that was her. Beautiful shot. These days, Alaska has daily SFO & SAN trips to Kennedy as well.
