Golden Hour at Sky Harbor

Been awhile since my last spotting session. I tried to catch Air Force One’s departure from Biden’s quick stop but I missed it.

So I turned it into mainly a panning practice session with fairly decent results for my second time panning with shutter speeds ranging from 1/60th-1/40th. Golden hour did not disappoint as the Arizona sky turned fiery after sunset.

Thanks, it’s amazing what adjusting exposure compensation does for an image.

It’s great! I normally advocate for full manual but ISO is one of two settings I run auto (alongside WB) just because exposure compensation exists and it’s super flexible.

Nice shots! realy love them all.

Thank you, I missed some I wanted but overall I was pleased with the outcome.

I practice on the difficult stuff, so taking pictures of planes isn’t so bad when you are used to tracking hummingbirds.

Thank you! I had a few others from that session I didn’t add cause of the limit. I wanted to show the sunset pictures.

Here’s one that came in focus, you can barely see the smoke beginning on the right side of the main gear.

Then this next one got all blurred out but captured some cool smoke action.
