Golden departure from The Big Apple

Taking off at Golden Hour :sunrise: is always fun, but itโ€™s even better when you do a classic but fun route every once in a while. The route? New York JFK :statue_of_liberty::red_apple: to Los Angeles, CA :palm_tree::camera_with_flash: there are many airlines that fly this competitive route. But American Airines is not only my favorite but has also introduced the Boeing 777-200ER to serve it for some time as AA prepares for the arrival of the A321XLRs and the refurbishment of the unique A321Ts. This is the first time in years a widebody has flown JFK - LAX for American, it kind of takes me back to the Boeing 767-200ER days.

Random Florida fact

Florida is the most common state for relocated folks from New York (aka transplants)

Origin: John F. Kennedy Intl :united_states: (JFK/KJFK)
Destination: Los Angeles Intl :united_states: (LAX/KLAX)

Snow birds*

Nice pic lol

Pre US merger was so dreamy. I loved the old livery, especially the American Eagle e145s.

A snowbird is someone who resides in Florida during the winter before going back once it status to warm up

A transplant is someone who relocated to Florida to actually live there from now on

Well yes, thatโ€™s the literal sense

But often Iโ€™ll hear them being used interchangeably to poke fun of non permanent residents (@Avaitor1 thanks)
