Yesterday, I created a topic about my flight from Luanda to Saint Maarten. I had a poll, asking what people wanted to see next. At the time I started my flight, Heathrow to San Jose was the winner. (In the meantime, Amsterdam to Cape Town took the lead). However, that pesky little thing called time decided to go much slower than I had bargained on. I had hoped to be able to land at about 09:45. However, when I woke up, I was still a good 800 miles away. I did not have time for that. That’s just what I get for trying to start a 10.5 hour flight at 1am and expecting it to land at 09:45. Honestly I am even dumber than I thought… So, it is with great sadness, that I present you with the next best option. Doha to Bahrain, with a Gulf Air A321.

A passenger on a Qatar A350 took this photo. Unfortunately, I had to hack their phone to get it.
See! It’s an A350!!
Climbing up above the beautiful blue waters of Qatar.
It was insanely bumpy. I can tell you what the person who took this photo was thinking: Why did I waste 60 dollars on food if it was all coming out again later?
Lining up with runway 30R
On final approach, about 7 miles out from the runway
We landed. No one said it had to be smooth…
One of the ramp agents sent me this beautiful photo. I pity the poor fellow. It was 37 Celsius outside! (That is 96 Fahrenheit, if you don’t speak metric fluently).
And because why not, here is the report generated by the wonderful IFOperations
- Amsterdam to Johannesburg- KLM 773
- San Fransisco to Heathrow- Virgin Atlantic 789
- Los Angeles to Tokyo Narita- American 789
- Heathrow to Durban- BA A380
