Go Around after taking off?!

So I’ve been back to my dream job of controlling at WSSS and I noticed many pilots send the Go Around message after taking off. Technically, this is redundant and useless but is it some kind of a hidden message? Lol

No. It’s incorrect use of the go around message.

I think I’ll wait for a reply from someone who does it…

Usually they just mean they’re remaining in the pattern. Incorrect usage.

Right… I guess we have to issue an advisory to them since we know who is doing a pattern and who is taking off straight out…

Yes. Unfortunately there isn’t an easy way to enforce it effectively.

Yeah no way to stop them but since now I know the hidden message… thanks!

Go Around= Aborted landing.

Remaining in the Pattern= Stay on the aiport patter.

I think its hard to confuse them.

No my friend, they send the Go Around message immediately after taking off so I thought if there could be a hidden message in it…

So is there a good reason that you refuse to believe that they’ve made a mistake or not knowing how to use correct commands?

You’re trying to sow discord, I can feel it. Nobody would be stupid enough to say Go Around immediately after taking off, duh?

It’s called not knowing how to use ATC commands. You labelled them stupid, not me. I only said “mistake” or “not knowing”. Mistakes and not knowing don’t mean someone is stupid.

No, it’s not like what you all think. Apparently I look ahead rather than think they are doing the wrong thing.

I just keep quiet and see what they do and indeed what I noticed is that people enter patterns (as requested earlier) after sending this Go Around message

So do I let bygones be bygones or instruct them to enter downwind (which conflicts with what I learn in the IFATC videos)?

Tell them to check help pages with ATC instructions.
