Just now, there’s extreme fog at JFK. JFK is on Long Island and I live on Long Island too about an hour east of the airport. It’s pretty foggy here but not nearly as bad as JFK. I know a while ago it was very foggy here. Is it really that bad there or is it old conditions that haven’t been updated yet? While taxing it was so hard to see in front of me so I had to rely on my knowledge of the airport layout and the big map. I know you aren’t supposed to taxi with strobes on but I did because it was so bad.

The latest METAR from KJFK states that the visibility is low:
Visibility: 0.25 sm ( 0.40 km)
So no, this is not a glitch.

I’m more west of LI and from where I am, it’s still pretty foggy, and I’m (approx.) 10 miles away from the airport.

This is not a glitch. METARs is updated hourly IRL as well as on Infinite Flight (sometimes even more frequent). JFK is currently showing same conditions on IF as it is IRL.
