Can I get a pre-set flight plan or do I have to create one for each flight?
yes, you have to create one each flight.
there’s several tools to help with that, personally I use Simbrief.
it doesn’t only create the route, but it also generates V speeds and optimum flaps settings too
So what is the use of the share my IF section?
I believe there’s ways to share flight plans, but since I never used it, I wouldn’t know dor certain
How do you use Simbrief? Is there an alternative?
Simbrief is the main tool used by IF users since we have direct integration with Infinite Flight. Linked below is Simbrief’s User Guide as well as a Community Guide on how the integration with Infinite Flight works.
You mean the website SharemyInfiniteFlight? That’s for sharing replays.
I created a flight plan, now how do I open it in Infinite Flight?
- Start your flight in Infinite Flight
- Go into the map screen, and click on the button the bottom left with the two opposite arrows.
- Click on “Load from Simbrief”
Is this only for the Pro version?
Can’t download the flight schedule and open it in the app?
Ah yes. The Simbrief Integration is a Pro-only feature at this point in time.
Too bad. Too bad Too bad
There’s no point for the simbrief integration to be free anyways without global scenery what are you gonna make out of it?
You should use simbrief, it’s free. If you link your infinite flight account to it you can directly import everything from the route to the fuel/weight data. If you want to know how to import everything instantly let me know and I’ll be happy to help.
I sometimes save them as a file on my ipad and reload them later. Theoretically one can send this file to others as well. Unfortunately, then the SID and STAR procedures are not in brackets anymore and I don’t know, how to put them into brackets again, so ATC can see, which procedures I use. Maybe someone knows if it’s possible or not to recreate the procedures brackets again.
you could just copy and paste it in say a notes app, straight from simbrief, then copy and paste it from there into the search waypoints tap in the map section, and it should all be added.
Use Simbrief to create a pre-set flight plan quickly and semi-automatically–then import it, you can learn how to do this on youtube.
How do I download it?
I did this, but the flight plan wouldn’t complete.
You open IF app and start a flight. Then you close the window to background (not closing the App).
Then you open files folder where you have stored your flightplan and double tap it. IF window opens automatically and you click ‘continue’. Flighplan is loaded.
But SID and STAR procedure brackets are not set- the waypoints are all downloaded.
