Geneva to Beirut (stopping in Istanbul)

Hello,
Hope you are all good!!
I wanted to share with you my trip, from GVA to IST, from IST to BEY. (LSGG|LTFM|OLBA)

First flight | GVA-IST:

First, on the road to Geneva. Fortunately, not much traffic on the A1.

Then, after we passed security and all that stuff, I made some plane spotting from the terminal. I was very happy because it’s the first time I’ve seen an Air Canada B777-300ER in Geneva. Usually, it’s an Airbus A330-300 that operates GVA-YUL.

This flight aircraft is Turkish A321-200. It’s from here that it becomes…umm… not very good. So, we were supposed to board at 13:05. The boarding start at 13:15. We walk through the airport walkway, and then… everyone is stopped. We wait for around 15 minutes before entering the aircraft.

Turkish airlines LIES on their site because it is written that we will have an A321 neo. We have a regular ancient generaion A321-200.

The infotainement is equipped with a “touchscreen”. It is NOT a touchscreen. It doesn’t works very well. It has a remote control.

Well, after reaching cruising altitude, and waiting cause the cabin crew is VERY slow, we eat a VERY good meal. And I’m not joking. I ate chicken with curry sauce.

The flight was actually smooth. Not the landing.

Ratings:
Crew: 4/10
Seat: 7/10
Service: 4/10
Food: 8/10
Landing: 4/10

Overall: 27/50=54/100

Part two came out! Check it here

Nice spots! I was actually in Geneva last month flying a Swiss A220 to Frankfurt, but I can’t help but ask, why didn’t you didn’t just take MEA directly?

You will say that I care so much for money, bit it is too expensive. I am originally Lebanese but living in France since 2 years. I took MEA 3 times, and it is very good and all. But this summer, it is too much: 1300 euros for one person. I was supposed to go to Lebanon with my two parents, but I came with only my Mother. So we took Turkish. That’s it.

PS: The second part of the flight is “coming out” soon. Be sure to check it out! 😁
