Generic Livery

I just wanted to know if you guys fly Generic livery pretending to be an airline which is not in IF(Livery)?

Sometimes we do. I knew a few VAs that did that.

Sometimes I do, especially if it’s for a VA that doesn’t have many livery’s in infinite flight

I don’t because it kinda ruins the immersion for me.

At QANTAS Virtual we used the Generic B738 until the Qantas livery was released. Currently use the A330 generic to represent that aircraft. Hopefully when the A330 is reworked we will get the Qantas livery…(cough hint cough)

What HINT?!?!?!?!?!?

I only use the generic livery to pretend I am flying a plane to the scrap yard or to storage.

AFAIK no rework of the A330 at present. Hopefully in at some stage in the future.

Pilots of Aegean VA have to fly with the generic livery unfortunately, since we dont have any Aegean livery on IF (most voted A320 livery btw)

I use them as private aircrafts, but not other airlines…

Apparently @Feurum does both

I often do
AF 789; Aegean A320; Olympic Dash 8 are some examples

I use Generic livery only while flying for VA.

I am flying for Aegan VA, and we don’t have livery yet :/

The 777-300ER Generic Livery is one I use very frequently for Biman Bangladesh, Air China, Air India, JAL, ANA, China Southern and China Eastern :)

At DLVA there are quite a few routes where we use the generic livery
I’m not too bothered by it but of course I’d rather have the actual livery

Only if a VA requires it.

Hey just asking, can’t you use the JAL 777-200ER or do you just want to fly the 300er,

Na I don’t really I just use an airline who they codeshare with but I have used it for some NZ trips that are run by Mt Cook airlines ATR 72-600/500 and some Air Nelson Q300s.

Not many except for our group over at Aegean knows the struggles of not having any real world liveries 😬…

On another note - I used it for the Comair 737 too. Not for much longer it seems.

They use the 300ER for flights from London, JFK, and LAX, so the 200ER would unrelistic to use as it’s only used on domestic flights and also on flights to/from Honolulu, Bangkok, Singapore, etc…
