Holding short of runway 07 for an A320, operated by easyJet, to land.
Rotating and becoming airborne at 163kts, with the A320 safely vacated from Tenerife’s runway 07.
A nice wing view with a clear image of Tenerife’s volcano, more on that in a moment.
Here’s Tenerife’s ever so famous stratovolcano, named Mount Teide. Mount Teide is, of course, the highest point on the island of Tenerife.
Mount Teide is an active volcano, with the last eruption being in November 1909.
A few hours later, we are already on final approach of Gatwick’s runway 08R, about to put the gear down as the 738 intercepts the localiser.
After a nice flare, we touch down smoothly at London Gatwick, 20 minutes ahead of schedule due to a fair tailwind on the way over to Britain.
Parked up on stand with a Boeing 787 taxiing by, shot from a 747’s nosewheel…
That wraps up this flight from Tenerife to Gatwick, I hope you really enjoyed these pictures, all feedback is appreciated as always.
