Game crashing at even with plane visibility at none

Device: iPad (9th gen)
Operating system: iPad OS 26.1

Recently, the game crashes has gotten so bad that I’ve had to keep plane visibility at low when flying normally and when I fly into busy airports and airspace, I even have to turn it to none to avoid the game crashing. It’s worked until today when I was flying into the Dubai event. I was instructed to go around and while flying above the airport, my game just crashes. This can’t be normal even while plane visibility is at none and it concerns me for the upcoming graphics update if my iPad can’t even handle that. I’ve already cleared cache, but other than that is there anything I can do? Will this be fixed next update?

Hey!

Sorry to hear.
The iPad 9th Generation is not a device that handles high performance games very well unfortunately. The low amount of RAM it’s been equipped with is causing issues with games that have a rather high RAM usage (there’s several topics in here covering this with the iPad 9th Gen specfically).

Lowering graphics is settings would be the first step, not only airplane count. Same with 3D Object Density.

Something that also helps a lot is simply restarting your device more often, as that frees up resources quite a lot. And since iOS does not have a “RAM Cleaner” like many Android devices do, restarting your device helps here.

Thank you! I’ll make sure to do that and may even consider looking into newer iPad’s.
