Game (BETA) crashes immediately upon launch

Description

I downloaded the beta via the link shared on Discord, which took me to the Test Flight app and then the Infinite Flight Beta.

Every time I try opening it, the game crashes instantly upon launch.

I’m aware that I have a bit of an older device. However the devs did mention that there’s a possibility that we’ll get better performance also. And yes I understand it’s the beta, hence reporting this.

On my current iPad I am able to run X-Plane maxed out (yes a bit laggy and stuttery, but it does work) and the sweet spot in X-Plane settings on medium.

PS: at the time of testing I only had IFS, Test Flight and IFS Beta installed. No other games or apps. In fact most of the other default apps are disabled too.

It seems ipad with ios16.7 have the same issue of crash

That’s too bad😰Hope the development team can fix this bug as soon as possible otherwise we people with ios 16.7 can’t even test the game!

TBH, Yeah I am a bit disappointed to not be able to try the beta. I can live without it though :sweat_smile: I was just hoping to actively participate and give feedback. Also have a lower spec device, I could test the extremes.

It’s just shocking to me that X-Plane works fine for me, even when maxed out. But this won’t even open.

But fortunately we found out that the only problem is the system generation,and that’ll be much more easier for developers to solve the problem😀

Same with me my mobile is a iqoo neo 6 8 gb ram and android 14 the infinite flight beta just crashes upon launch I hope the devs patch thism

Yeah I just posted about this on the actual thread hahah it’s a shame but i guess I can’t do anything about it

Just noticed an update available for the beta. Went ahead and updated it. But the game still crashes upon launching.

Probably your ipad doesn’t have a more than 4GB ram and this is needed to run the game

Your device has 2GB of RAM which explains the instant crash upon launch.

I experienced this as well. I’m assuming they’ll continue to make updates until that issue is resolved.

Mine sometimes loads in for a few seconds then crashes. Im guessing it’s down to the RAM on my device

Still a long way until the beta is final but it’s a must and will be worth the wait than suffering with what we have now.
