When using the map in live mode, some planes show a number whereas others do not. What do they tell me? I just cannot figure it out 😡
Oh, ha ha!
I also want to know what that mean x)
Captain M :airplane:
It’s how much higher/lower they are in relation to you
It’s the altitude of other aircrafts in relation to you.
It helps to prevent collisions.
The guy passing the waypoint CLSTR is 13.300 ft higher than you.
I see… Nice one.
What still eludes me though is why some planes do not show that difference in altitude. Is it optional for pilots- can you switch it on? Or maybe it is a matter of distance…?
I’m fairly certain it is a matter of proximity.
It only shows altitude difference for aircraft that are near you, and it does this by design. It’s to improve performance when the region is busy and you don’t need info about an aircraft 150nm away :)
