Fuel Used Glitch

Device<Ipad Pro 11>:
Operating system<eg iPadOS_18.3

I have been noticing this randomly, where I start the engines and there is no fuel used but the fuel remaining is changing. Of course I could just subtract the numbers but this should be fixed.

I am currently flying in the A339 but it has done it in the MAX and other aircraft.

Not sure if this is a known issue but I experience too in almost every flight I do.

What’s odd is that if I use flight resume and continue the flight, the figure is usually correct, for the whole flight accounting for the pre-flight resume portion too.

I think it is a known issue. This can happen when you directly import your flight plan and fuel from Simbrief, or you select the different weights in IF such as “light”, “normal”, or “heavy”. Try manually adjusting the fuel sliders if you can before flight and it should update the fuel burned when flying. Not the one for your current flight, but for future flights.

Ill try that.

Issue happens to me too, but gets solved some time after departure

Oh interesting! 100% of the flights I do and notice this happen to have simbrief-imported flight plans and load data (fuel, pax, and cargo).

Yes, I do believe this is a known issue that has to do with simbrief integration. Since I almost always use simbrief, I just keep a log book of all start and end fuel quantities for each route.

Here’s a topic I found that has a link to another. It seems as though the solution (as others have said above) is to manual adjust the fuel levels if you import a flight plan or click on the “light,” “medium,” or “heavy” presets. Not sure why this is still an issue but it appears to not have a known fix at the moment.
