I just wanted to see what everyone here uses to fuel plan for their flights here on Infinite Flight? I usually use fuelplanner.com but it’s not very accurate for Infinite Flight, especially on longer flights, and the owner plans to shut it down on March 31 of this year.
I already know of SimBrief and FPLtoIF but just want to see if there’s anything else out there not showing up in my Google searches.
I use online onlineflightplanner.org to make my FPL for short hauls and it tells me how much fuel to take. For long hauls I look up the flight time on FR24 and take 2-3 hours of extra fuel. For example, if I’m flying Doha - Montreal which is 13 hours long, I would take 15-16 hours of fuel.
If you are flying general aviation, you can whip out the aircraft manual which is often public and available online. You can see estimated fuel burn per RPM and cruising altitude.
