Tomorrow, Frontier is expected to announce a bunch of new routes across the country, similar to their big announcement in July 2017. I’m particularly excited because KISP is supposed to get some new routes as part of this.
A Frontier Airlines spokesman said the RDU expansion announcement event Thursday would be one of 15 across the country – representing a major growth move by the firm.
EDIT: Frontier has just announced 35 new routes with 4 new destinations!
Brief summary:
The new cities are Myrtle Beach, SC (KMYR), Branson, MO (KBKG), Birmingham, AL (KBHM), and Savannah, GA (KSAV).
I’m very excited because ISP is getting nonstops to San Juan and Myrtle Beach!!
The way Frontier is operating is interesting, the airports they are expanding into are relatively untouched by the big four US carriers. (with a few exceptions)
Hold up,
Did you just say you can fly from Islip, NY to San Juan, PR?
I congratulate ISP for getting their first International Route. I wish I could say the same for MHT, but we won’t see any new airlines or routes soon :/. Though, we are hoping for B6 to come in soon
