Pushing back and getting our engines started for our departure from Seoul, the capitol and largest city of South Korea, also known as the “Land of the Morning Calm,” a term coined by Percival Lowell in his book about the Korean Empire, “Chosön, the Land of the Morning Calm,” published in 1888.
Nice pictures @Mort, I don’t fly in Asia much mainly because I fly using real time and most of the time it’s dark there so there’s not much to see. Although I am thinking of doing long hauls back to Japan though so I can explore more of Japan.
voted for pic 9 (no bias :) ). do you think you departed ICN before or after me? I didn’t notice anyone else headed for Mongolia until 30 min from touchdown
Was the “Morning Calm” in the title intentional or an accident?
I actually just realized that you decided to call that based on what Korea was called in a book, but one of KAL’s mileage programs is also called Morning Calm. Also did you take off from the wrong terminal…?
