Hello IFC,
I just wanted to share a full circle moment for me. Aviation has been my passion for as long as I can remember. Ever since I was young, I’ve always been fascinated by airplanes and the idea of flying. When I discovered Infinite Flight and joined the community back in November, 2017 at 13 years old, it gave me a way to explore that passion even more. I spent countless hours flying routes, practicing approaches, learning procedures, and just immersing myself in everything aviation related through the simulator. At that age, flying real airplanes still felt like a very distant dream, but Infinite Flight helped keep that excitement and curiosity alive while I was growing up.
Fast forward to today, and it honestly feels surreal to say that I am now officially a CFI/CFII. Reaching this milestone has been an incredible journey, and looking back it’s amazing to think that part of that passion was fueled by flying on Infinite Flight when I was younger.
To the younger aviators in this community who are flying around the simulator and dreaming about doing this in real life one day, keep going and keep believing in it. I was in your exact position not that long ago. One day you might look back and realize that the same simulator you’re flying today helped inspire the career you’re pursuing tomorrow.
