Our fifth leg takes us southeast across the Arabian Sea, from Doha to Muscat, the capital of Oman. Set between rugged mountains and the coastline, Muscat stands out for its understated elegance and strong sense of tradition, shaped by centuries of maritime trade and regional influence. Unlike the glass-heavy skylines of other Gulf capitals, the city maintains a low-rise profile that blends harmoniously with its natural surroundings. Historically, Muscat developed as a strategic port linking the Arabian Peninsula with East Africa and the Indian Ocean world.
After our stop in Oman, the return leg takes us back northwest to Doha, crossing the waters once more and completing the fifth round-trip of the journey.

Our seventh leg takes us northwest across the Persian Gulf, from Doha to Dammam, a major city in Saudi Arabia’s Eastern Province. Located along the Gulf coast, Dammam serves as a key gateway to the Kingdom’s energy heartland, closely linked to the oil industry that transformed the region in the 20th century. Together with nearby Dhahran and Al Khobar, the city forms a dynamic metropolitan area that blends modern development with coastal tradition. Historically a modest fishing and pearling settlement, Dammam evolved rapidly with the discovery of oil, becoming one of Saudi Arabia’s most strategically important cities.

Finally another flight hehe

Hello everyone, I’ve got 2 news, one bad and one good.

The good one is that I have returned from my trip to north Spain.

The bad one is that, with the current airspace closure I can’t do any flights until they re-open it

Btw, maybe if people are interested, I may create a ping list

Good news everyone, we have been give the permission to fly all the Qatar Airways routes expect for some countries, but that excluded list does not include Saudi Arabia, so we can resume the challenge!

                Flights 14 and 15 -Doha-Riyadh-Doha 🇶🇦🇸🇦

Flights: QR1160 (DOH-RUH) and 1161 (RUH-DOH)

Routes: Doha Hamad (OTHH) - Riyadh King Khalid (OERK) - Doha Hamad (OTHH)

Aircraft: Qatar A320

Our eighth leg takes us southwest across the Arabian Peninsula, from Doha to Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia. Located in the heart of the country on the Najd plateau, Riyadh is a vast and rapidly growing metropolis that serves as the political, economic, and administrative center of the Kingdom. Once a small desert oasis town, the discovery of oil and decades of development transformed Riyadh into a modern capital defined by its expanding skyline, wide highways, and ambitious infrastructure projects. Today, the city plays a central role in shaping Saudi Arabia’s future while remaining closely connected to its historical roots.
After our stop in the Saudi capital, the return leg takes us back northeast to Doha, crossing the desert once more and completing the eighth round-trip of the journey. :airplane:
