So this weekend I asked my friends at school is a plane louder than a football game and they said no and I disagree because a plane is a lot louder
Clearly you haven’t been to the United States, Britain, or Brazil then…
At least you have friends who talk about planes
I live in the USA and I know how loud planes are I’ve heard a ton before
Then you haven’t seen how loud we get about our Football (American football, aka the crappy one)…
I’ve been to an American football game and I know how loud planes can get
At least you have friends…
I once went to a football game that had a B-1 fly over it, and I couldn’t hear the damn thing. That thing is meant to go Mach 2 as well…
Congrats, you’ve spawned every Brazilian in existence 😂
To end all discussion:
A soccer or football game crowd normally stays between 80 and 90 dBs (decibels), but can get up to 100 dBs sometimes
An airplane engine can exceed 140 dBs during takeoff
So an airplane is definitely much louder
The thing is that you don’t get to stand next to a plane engine during takeoff, but you do stand in the middle of a football/soccer crowd, so it naturally sounds much louder, although it isn’t
Hope this clarified it lol
sounds reasonable
Uh oh, I guess I’m going to Brazil.
Man legit turned it into a full on scientific investigation.
Talking American Football, have actually been seen to range up to 150dBs. This primarily is in the Super Bowl, as we can be pretty goddamn loud. It really just varies on circumstances, but at times it can break the sound of an aircraft if the circumstances are right.
lmao
fair enough
the volumes I mentioned are the average
if we take an SR-71 with afterburners on it’s gonna be louder for sure lol
Just go to a Chiefs game definitely louder than a plane

You can probably find out how loud a crowd is on the internet and compare the two :)
