Join us for this week’s Friday Night Flight:
KLM 1st Intercontinental Jet Service Anniversary
On 16MAR1960, KLM made their first intercontinental jet service flight from Amsterdam to New York in a Douglas DC-8. Hard to believe that was only 57 years ago. We head to the Amsterdam region to celebrate this historic flight by flying any KLM aircraft around the region. What aircraft will you fly?

This is funny because I kid you not, about an hour ago I was reading a book about the history of JFK airport and in it was talking about KLM’s first intercontinental flight in the Douglas DC8. It’s a small world!
Great! My home region (or at least close to, until we have global!). But wait! KLM doesn’t operate any Airbus?! What the …!? Didn’t know that and liked KLM nevertheless 😜
So I’ll have to step in my 777 or 787, let’s see. In addition to that, as every week, I’ll do some controlling, which I am really looking forward to 😎
