Welcome to the very first of the monthly Friday Night Flights voted by you, our community! Thank you to all who partook in the vote, and we can’t wait to continue with this theme! This week the top vote was for Hawaii so that is where we shall turn! All major airports will be open on all islands as a priority, with only 3 airports external being opened to traffic. You can find a list of these further down this topic.
Honolulu will be this weeks hub airport. The airport boasts a large number of parking locations, so space will not be an issue! You can find parking gate sizes on LiveFlight:

Have fun!
Kalaeloa [PHJR] and Kaneohe [PHNG] are closed. Traffic is not permitted to fly between any two airports in the TFR. This will result in ghosting by IFATC on the expert server.
I just had a thorough look through this topic, and only two people requested PHNL. There were many request for other airports that are suitable for a FNF that were not even added in the poll (OOMS, KBWI, etc)
If that were the case, we should have had a poll from the start, but I am excited for PHNL.
The options that would be selected for the poll to decide the final main airport would be based on a number of different factors.
As I’m sure you know, FNF is a very busy event with lots of inbounds and departures. So for this, the team need to select airports that will be capable of handling such traffic, which enough gates, plenty of taxiways and usually multiple runways, all help with keeping the traffic moving.
Can’t wait! Since Hawaii is so popular I can’t wait for the Hawaiian A330 to be added hopefully if you guys come out with a -200 passenger version ;)) such a beautiful aircraft!
