Hey everyone!

Join us for this week’s Friday Night Flight:
Dulles Diversion

It’s time that we show appreciation for the regional carriers. This week, KIAD is the featured airport and we will only be flying region aircraft. These include the CRJ, the ERJ, and the Dash 8. No other aircraft will be allowed. The diversion theme is to divert away from larger carriers and aircraft and focus solely on the regional airlines. Come out in your favorite regional aircraft, fly one of the established routes or your own route, and let’s have some fun showcasing the new CRJ7, along with the other regional aircraft! A TFR will be in effect over KIAD restricting the use of any other aircraft. Ghosting will be enforced!

Post your best screenshots on Instagram and tag us for a chance to have one featured on our social media pages. NOTE: All screenshots must be clean (without HUD, tags, etc), and all settings on HIGH to be considered. NOTAMS: AIRCRAFT RESTRICTION: REGIONAL AIRCRAFT ONLY TFR will be in effect during FNF. Ghosting will be enforced for other aircraft.
NO PATTERN WORK AT FIELDS WITH ACTIVE ATC DURING FNF PEAK HOURS!
(Pattern work at controller’s discretion based on airport traffic conditions outside of peak hours)
Follow all ATC instructions (when available).
Ghosting will be strictly enforced.

FNF Event Hours:
Begin - Friday 05/25 @ 17:30 ZULU (10:30am PDT)
End - Saturday 05/26 @ 09:30 ZULU (2:30am PDT)

I really don’t like TFR forcing people to be in an aircraft. There are some who just want to fly to KIAD and take advantage of ATC but can’t due to a TFR. Isn’t it better to do what has always been done and let people fly what plane they like, especially those who don’t have time to be on IF all the time and just wanna fly

Exactly, they should be allowed to fly into Dulles with whatever aircraft

What would happen if someone not on IFC came out in like a 777 and got ghosted for no reason? Would the controllers give them a warning?

The TFR is visible with a ring which can be read in-app and information is also available on the ATIS so… 🙂

Personally, I don’t like to have TFRs in place, especially for aircraft. I have school in the morning, and usually, I takeoff in the morning, attend school for like 7 hours, and then come home and land my flight. Therefore, I usually prefer international flights with larger aircrafts( 777s, 787s, a330s etc.). Other than that though… great jobs as always, will try to fly to KIAD in a regional aircraft! Also, if we fly to different airports other than KIAD with other aircrafts excluding CRJs, ERJs, and Dash 8s, do we still get ghosted?

Probably won’t get ghosted at other airports. But I don’t like the TFR either. I was gonna do a long haul from KIAD to OMDB in a a380 but guess now I’ll have to leave from JFK. Especially when larger aircraft fly to KIAD this takes away the realism.

Simple. Don’t participate, fly another server or fly elsewhere. No one is forcing you to do anything you don’t want to do. Can’t dub it down anymore than that.

After all, you’ve got the whole world in your hands… literally.
