Friday Night Flight: Community Choice SLC CRJ @ KSLC - 280600ZJUN19

Join us for this week's FNF!
-----

The Community Choice Friday Night Flight is back with another huge event! This week, the community has decided to take the tour to Salt Lake City. An area of beautiful scenery, mountains, and amazing airports, this choice is a great one!

This week we also experiment with keeping the weekly IFATC hub open during this event. This allows for a large number of KSLC - KMIA flights, creating a huge virtual highway in the skies! In addition to this, lesser used airports served by Delta from KSLC in their CRJ fleet will be open. Please see further down this topic for the full list.

For all the key information, a NOTAM will be in place. This will be seen in the app as a large red ring. Click on it and the details will pop up.

So excited about this FNF, especially since KMSO, one of my home airports, is featured! You guys can expect me to be controlling there as much as possible tomorrow.

For those of you who are planning to fly into the airport, make sure to try out the approach to runway 30 (if it is in use). It’s not very well known, but it is lots of fun! When coming in from the south from KSLC, you follow a valley up to the localizer and then turn base on 4nm final. More info here:
