Frequent Disconnections During Taxi, Takeoff & Short Final

Hi everyone,

I’ve been facing frequent disconnections from the Infinite Flight servers, especially during the most critical phases of flight taxi, takeoff roll, and short final. It’s been happening quite often over the past few days, and it even ruined multiple screen recordings I was trying to make. Due to this I often miss comms from the ATC and this creates a lot of confusion.

My internet connection is stable on all other apps, so I’m not sure what’s causing this sudden issue. I’ve tried restarting the app and device, but the problem still persists.

Has anyone else experienced this recently? Any suggestions or fixes would be appreciated.

I’ve been experiencing this. Often times it’s always at takeoff though when I’m first in line, so often times I don’t hear if I got takeoff clearance so I just takeoff after reconnecting, thankfully I’ve never gotten any issues from ATC for taking off without “clearance” as the moment I start moving, they tell the plane behind me to line up.

I also got a good wired internet and even star link as a backup but I still disconnect.

It often could be because of your operating devices with IF and their settings, specifically graphics or possibly cache. I recommend doing some short flights on the different graphics settings. This could help, as you can find the best operating information and settings for your gameplay.

Another thing is that it is just an IF server issue. I also have had this in the past but goes away very quickly. The main thing to think about is that when flying into busier airports, there are a lot of aircraft on the ground and that can make it hard for the sim to load them all at once. Letting it happen could just be the way until it is ultimately fixed in the future.

Also, please let me know which company is your internet provider, as it has been seen in the past to cause troubles with your sim connections.

Which company provides your internet? There are known issues with some of them when it comes to Infinite Flight.

There have been issues with JiO and Infinite Flight for years - idk about Tata play fiber but I wouldn’t be surprised if it has the same issues.

Surprisngly Jio works when Tata play doesnt, but i have flown quite a lot on Tata play and it never happened until a few months ago when i started to notice this pattern, even switched devices, seems very specific since it only tends to happen on short finals or during takeoff
