If a pilot makes a request, the frequency drops out and then returns, what happens to the request?
Does it need ti be remade?
Example: Pilot requests clearance, frequency drops to traffic and then returns. Is the request still pending or does it need to be remade?
i think if the controller’s session is still running and their internet connection got disrupted for a bit maybe the request could still be there (probably only in the transcript) but if the controller leaves the session and rejoins i think that the requests are cleared. i’m not sure though.
It depends on situation but generally speaking, wait for at least 30 seconds and resend your request.
