He meant the controllers change like all the time, not you doing anything wrong :)
But are you sure you’re only one person?
What are you talking about? It says controllers right in the quote you put there.
As I said above me and many others faced this issue so that’s why I said the above reply, have nothing against you.
I don’t mind that you replied. I mind that you didn’t read what I said and got mad about something I didn’t. But anyway.
[BTW, the point about controllers going in and out is relevant, since if you’re on Unicom and someone signs on, you’re taken to the active freq. If only one signs on, you would be taken there. So the frequency with which controllers switch makes this a common experience.]
I get what you mean but the issue still there and hopefully FDS take a look at it or maybe explain to us why this is happenning.
I am getting this as well. If I am on Unicom as there is only ground then the ground controller switches then it puts me into ground.
Basically guys it is because controllers are in out in out all the time. No real way around it other than go onto expert where controllers actually operate properly
hope this helps

@iFlyBird - does it only happen once for every session, or every time you try to change from ground to unicom?
Personally faced it twice still don’t know if others faced it more than me.
@schyllberg it can happen multiple times from my experience in one session due to controllers going in and out. do you think what I said in the post above is the correct reasoning.
I’m pretty sure this is pre-global.
Basically, i think it in to help pilots make sure they’re on frequency, once a controller spawns in.
I was asking because i was able to get this ONCE.
The controller switch issue is something to probably affects the experience, but to be able to determine how bad this is i would need to know more.
Like:
Does it happen more than once every session?
If yes, make sure it’s not a controller issue. Easiest way to do that is to check if the “Active for xxMN” resets everytime it happens.
I’ve had this problem before, and it happens more times than not.
Sometimes where the controller would just have a bad connection, or where there was a ground and no tower, and once on Unicom, you had to quickly select takeoff or it would switch right back to ground
Never thought it was a bug, thought it was something FDS implemented into the game to keep pilots on frequency.
That scenario you’re describing would reset the “Active for xxMN”…
The one i believe is a very minor bug, should not.
For me not every session, since many users claimed I think a survey/poll might help to know more about the problem.
We don’t do surveys/polls for super minor issues like this.
Fine by me, hopefully this doesn’t happen again to me in the future.
If this thread hasn’t been solved, next time I experience this, I’ll look to see.
Also, not sure if you saw my other reply, but this has seemed to happen pre-global, was going on when I first started flying in IF in March 2016
It could very well happen.
But if it does, please check the parameters I asked for above. That would help us narrow down a lot.
Yes, but you are describing the controller thing with people logging on/off. It’s not an issue per se.
