What is fokker?
Fokker was a Dutch aircraft manufacturer named after its founder, Anthony Fokker. The company operated under several different names, starting out in 1912 in Schwerin, Germany, moving to the Netherlands in 1919. During its most successful period in the 1920s and 1930s, it dominated the civil aviation market. Fokker went into bankruptcy in 1996, and its operations were sold to competitors.
But they are back!
Over the plane.
Fokker has a little room with drawers and designers at Schiphol. They where gona built it but they dont have the money for it. But there are plans to built two new short haul plane’s the Fokker 130 (F130) and the Fokker 90 (F90) it has 130/138 seats and it has two Pratt & Whitney PurePower PW1x17G. It has an cruise speed of m0.74 and a range of 3704km. Its unshure if the plane gets ever built.

Depending on the seating cap. But airlines already are planning to fly the bombardier cs planes. I don’t think they have even started making the test aircraft. I think they are still in the process of getting funds for it
Yes me to but efery body was thinking they wher gone but a dutch millionair has spend almost al his money in the project but he has still hope. There are orders for it and some oil companies are interested to!
I loved the first lot of fokker planes and im now hoping that this gets built. I hope someone like airbus says they will fund it for a share in the company.
My thoughts:
First of all, I thought that much of Fokker was absorbed into Airbus when it went bankrupt. I guess not.
Second, Airbus just bought the C Series program which competes with the aircraft, I’d be surprised if they want to invest in another aircraft of the same caliber, especially one that seems like it doesn’t have much in terms of funding.
I really can’t imagine this aircraft getting far unless Boeing wants to step in, but the design already looks so close to an Airbus I don’t think they would be interested.
