Captain J. Gordon
Today, I flew to Houston from Atlanta!! If you didn’t know, this is the first time in a long time that Delta has put the 738 on the ATL-IAH route. This route used to be flown by the MD90 until their retirement 🥺. Delta put the 738 on this route earlier this week, I think. This route was quick, fun, and easy. Landing in Houston was fun and a bit of a challenge due to their short runways. Landing with full flaps is always a challenge if your speed and height is not right. Plus, you can’t forget to factor in wind too. As I said, this was a great flight and I hope you all had a great day as well. As always, see you in the skies!! 😊👨🏾✈️
- LiveFlight wasn’t working for me after the 1st flight, so I used the real flight data from DL 1273 using FlightRadar24 (ATL-IAH)
- Preparing for departure at ATL’s gate F14
- Climbing off of runway 26R on a windy, Georgia day
- Final approach onto IAH’s runway 26L. Greasy landing of course 👨🏾✈️😎
- Shutting down the engines at IAH’s gate A15
- LiveFlight tracking (IAH-ATL)
- Preparing for departure at IAH’s gate A15
- Rotating off of IAH’s runway 15L
- Final approach onto ATL’s runway 27L. Once again, a smooth landing 👨🏾✈️😎
- Shutting down the engines at ATL’s gate A2
