Today, I had an AMAZING flight from Atlanta to Newark and back!! Today’s flight was nothing short of great 😁 We experienced some pretty strong winds during the cruise but it wasn’t as bad as I’ve experienced. Upon arrival in Newark, we had a crosswind of almost 30kts!! (I don’t remember the exact number 😬) However, i GREASED it 😎👨🏾✈️ It made me smile super hard after I landed. Usually, I do terrible in winds that high, but today, I remembered to use aileron deflection and it payed off well!! Takeoff, was very bumpy as expected as we had a 22kt crosswind on takeoff. It was hard to maintain centerline, but I did it. I’m very proud of myself for accomplishing the goal of landing and taking off in a very high wind condition!! I hope that you all had a great flying day and I’ll see you in the skies!! Catch me on the training server as “Captain Gordon”. Come fly with me!!
Well here we go again. Another part.joking
Well congrats on another successful flight.
Don’t flag me for joking please.
😂 I won’t. I can take a joke 😂
Flies to Newark
@Zachary and @Pingu have been summoned
Great pictures as always 🙂
Someone said Newark?
Lovely photos mate! Glad to see KEWR seeing getting love!
Thank you!! I’ve been wanting to fly to Newark for the longest and I finally did it 😎👨🏾✈️ Next stop, to be determined…
Newark is my fav airport.
The other day on the KATL flight from my home airport, they used a 737 instead of a 717
route is KATL-KICT, around 1hr 45min
Thank you so much for using 26R🙏 I salute you sir!
You’re welcome!! What is so special about 26R, if you don’t mind me asking?
It’s just that most people land on the inboard runways, which although unrealistic, saves 20 seconds. 😂
😂 I land on whatever runway is used “realistically”. If ATL using 8L, that’s where I’ll land. If ATL is using 26R, that’s where I’ll land and that applies to ALL airports. It bothers me when people use the wrong runway
No need to thank me, it’s our job as “pilots” 😉👨🏾✈️
