Loading up in Buenos Aires for the 3 hour run down to Ushuaia, the southermost city on Earth.

So long, Ministro Pistarini International Airport!

Leaving Buenos Aires behind as we turn due South

Crossing over the beautiful Argentinian countryside, famed for it’s wine and cattle

After a pretty dull couple hours over the South Pacific, land is finally in sight, with the Tierra del Fuego Province looming in the distance (Tierra del Fuego means Land of Fire, which is insanely epic)

Coming in for landing at the world’s Southernmost international airport

Short final with some gusts off the mountains

Welcome to Ushuaia, known as the “End of the Earth.” As one of the biggest jumping off points for tourism to Antarctica, Ushuaia, despite having a population under 100,000 used to see regular service from Aerolíneas Argentinas 747s and even chartered Air France Concordes.

Nice pics! I remember doing this route 2 years ago (from Aeroparque) for my Antarctica TRIPREPORT a classic

Although I was excited for it, I’m still yet to fly out of the newly 3D Ezeiza. Maybe EZE → FCO on the ITA A350-900 will get a remake another route coming up on its 2 year anniversary!

EZE is a really great airport, definitely worth the trip.

I stand corrected - Alert is at approximately 82.5°N latitude, while Svalbard is “only” at 78.2° latitude.

Maybe I should try flying nonstop from Alert to Ushuaia… it’s about 9,500 miles, I’m not sure what aircraft could do that nonstop. Maybe the 777?

Sun Country 737-800 obviously

Obviously, why didn’t I think of that?

You have to share with your bison too.

You should do a Boston to Las Vegas flight on a A321ceo

Fine I will
