Flying to every underrated country in IF

Hello IFC! Welcome to my first ever tracking thread. I will be using this thread to explore underrated regions of the world, and I will also add some information to each of the routes.

Most of these countries are part of regions that are barely touched in Infinite Flight. Please do let me know if I missed a country, or if you’d like a country removed. (Please note that I will only add countries that are barely visited - no UK, France, Australia, Japan, etc.)

Info about Comoros:

The Comoros is an archipelagic country consisting of 3 main islands, Grande Comore, Mwali and Anjouan, located in the Mozambique Channel, sandwiched between Madagascar and Mozambique, with Tanzania just up north. The capital is Moroni, which is where we will be flying today, and is the main hub of the small country. It’s population is 883,075 according to the world bank, and the main language they speak are Arabic, French and Comorian. The island was likely first inhabited by Malagasy/Austronesian people, Bantu speakers, and seafaring Arab traders. From the 1500s, the islands were ruled under multiple Sultans of Anjouan. France took over the islands from the 19th century until 1975. Today, the island is one of the poorest in Africa, coupled with high income inequality, as well as political instability, although the economy has improved over the past years and is considered ahead of many other low-income countries in Africa. Currently, there are no airlines based out of the Comoros. The main gateway to the country is through Prince Said Ibrahim Airport, and has connections to Tanzania, Turkiye (via Seychelles), Madagascar, Kenya, Ethiopia and the French overseas territories of Mayotte and Reunion.

Info about Tanzania:

Tanzania is a country located in East Africa. The country is bordered by Kenya and Uganda in the north, along with Lake Victoria, Rwanda, Burundi and the DRC from the west, including Lake Tanganyika, and finally, Mozambique, Malawi, Zambia and Lake Malawi to the south. The capital of the country is Dodoma, although its largest city is actually Dar es Salaam, which is the countries’ main economic hub. Many key hominid fossils have been discovered in Tanzania, where prehistoric migrations brought Cushitic, Nilotic, and Bantu-speaking peoples from various parts of Africa. In the 20th century, German and then British colonial rule preceded the 1964 unification of Tanganyika and Zanzibar into the United Republic of Tanzania, which remains a member of the Commonwealth. Tanzania in the present day is one of Africa’s most stable and economically stable, and has a relatively large population of 67.4 million people, which is expected to drastically increase going forward. Tanzania, being a relatively stable nation, has had the ability to sprout numerous different airlines, most of them operating general aviation aircraft for tourists to get to holiday destinations, such as Zanzibar and Kilimanjaro. The two main airlines are Air Tanzania and Precision Air, which the latter operates only regional routes using ATR-42s and 72s. Air Tanzania on the other hand, is a relatively stable airline, consisting of a very new fleet of A220s, 787-8s, 737 MAX 9s and Dash 8s. They fly to a handful of East African destinations, as well as stretch into Guangzhou in East Asia and Dubai in the ME. Tanzania, proving to be a popular tourist destination, has many connections to Europe, Asia and regional Africa, including The Netherlands, France, Oman, China, India, Turkiye, Rwanda and South Africa.

Today, we are flying to Kilimanjaro, which is home to Africa’s tallest mountain, as well as being the tallest free-standing mountain the world, meaning it is the tallest that is not part of a mountain range. The mountain was formed over 2 million years ago, and is currently dormant till this day, with its last eruption being around 360,000 years ago. Feel free to tag along with me onto this flight, and feel free to join the ping list for future flights!

Nice list, I think you missed some lesser known countries in the world though, like the United States of America, a small nation located in North America, and China too, a relatively tiny coastal country in Asia.

Hey, can you include the Dominican Republic or maybe Puerto Rico? Thanks

I always see people flying in/out Puerto Rico. Dominican Republic is also not that untouched. Just my opinion on why they weren’t included in the first place.

Aww maannn. I mean the only airport they fly out of is SDQ, not AZS, which I think would be nice

Put Sweden on here!
