How do i know if my plane is established on the localizer and how do I realistically descend as per ATC commands
and is there some guide for following ATC and ILS?

As far as descend rate under ATC instructions goes - I tend to aim for in-between -1000fpm and -2000fpm. It ensures an efficient descent while also being able to maintain/decrease speed.
