Well, I put every route with their flight number(s), as well as the aircraft that operate on those routes, into a Microsoft Excel sheet.
I started off going on a website called FlightConnections. I filtered the “Airlines” tab to Brussels Airlines (SN), and noted down all those routes.
I then cross referenced those routes with the Brussels Airlines website, and looked through every single one of them on flightradar24 to get the flight numbers and aircraft operational on those routes.
I then just put all that info into an Excel sheet, which is one of the ways I keep track of my progress now.
There’s a chance either of those websites might not show certain routes, since some routes are seasonal (winter or summer only), but I believe the airline website does have all routes, regardless of season (I’m not 100% sure though).
For Brussels Airlines it wasn’t too bad, as they’re a fairly small airline, all things considered. KLM, for example, has many more routes.
Accra is the capital city and largest city of the Republic of Ghana, or simply Ghana. The word Accra is derived from the Akan word “Nkran” meaning “ants”, a reference to the numerous anthills seen in the countryside around Accra.
Cotonou is the largest city in the Republic of Benin, or simply Benin . Although it is not the capital city, that title goes to Porto-Novo, the seat of government is located in Cotonou.
When it’s summer you can also use some A220 leased from Airbaltic, as Brussels will be using them in the next 3 summer seasons.
(exciting as the capacity for flights will only grow, and hopefully we see a tendency of having more new routes added like they did with Madeira this year.)
I actually still plan on doing those regardless, as well as some of the other routes that used to be operated by CityJet and the CRJ-900.
Again, mostly to have something different to fly than just the A319, but also because it gives me two more routes to do.
I know I’ll also be flying the A320 (albeit in the all white livery), because some routes are exclusively A320 (not even A320neo), Kittilä and Yerevan for example. But the CRJ-900 would still at least give me another type to fly.
Kittilä has been done recently by the neo👀
A while back a neo also flew to Yerevan, I can’t wait for Brussels to order even more neo’s, perhaps even an A321neo? For African flights.
But regardless, I’ll likely have to do Kittilä with the regular A320 anyway, since it’s a seasonal winter route, and I think those end somewhere in March. Makes it a little easier to do it on the day they do it in real life.
Which will be difficult for Fuerteventura, which I think is also a winter only seasonal route, but that’s exclusively done by the A320neo as far as I can tell.
Oh well, I’ll cross that bridge once I get to it. Maybe wait until October (could do that for KTT as well actually).
I’ll probably have more work with all the summer routes though, since the whole of Northern Africa, all of Croatia, most of Greece, and a whole lot of other Mediterranean destinations are summer only. Compared to maybe two winter only routes xD .
This is a challenge that I’m doing within the simulator itself. Trust me, I would love to do it in real life, but I don’t really have the funds for that xD.
But if I ever find myself on Brussels Airlines narrow-body, I’ll pay attention to the PA to hear if your name is mentioned.
Gothenburg, or Göteborg, is the second largest city in Sweden, after Stockholm. It is also the fifth largest city in the Nordic countries. The city is home to the annual Gothenburg Film Festival, held in January since 1979. It is the leading Scandinavian film festival.
Thank you! It was quite windy, but I managed to get her down safely.
It certainly would. That’s part of the reason why I put a bunch of feature request links in the topic.
I love the A319 and all, but it does get a little repetitive. I’m really hoping that when the A320neo gets released, the Brussels Airlines livery is an option on day one.
In the meantime, any A320 only routes will be done in the generic livery (I can pretend that they’re OO-SNP or -SNQ, the only two Sharklet A320s).
I certainly hope so, and each other Belgian in the community! The A320neo (OO-SBC) is our best chance at it. And irl Brussels Airlines ordered even more A320neos!
Toulouse is the fourth largest city in France. Of course, Toulouse-Blagnac airport is home to Airbus and ATR. Many aircraft types are produced here, such as the A320 family, A330 family, A350 family, ATR 42 family and ATR 72 family.
