Hello i just wanted to know if i was to fly an aircraft that is too big for the airport would i get a violation or reported on Expert server. Because i want to recreate a flight that is done on the Saab 340 and im using the Dash 8 as a replacement but the airport is too small for the Dash 8.

No. You can even land A380 at Lukla, if you want

If there’s no ATC I don’t believe there’s an auto-violation (don’t quote me). If there’s ATC they will probably tell you to leave.

No there is no ATC its just a small Class Delta airport in Canada and there is no notam. I just wanted to recreate a Saab 340 flight on the Dash 8 as a replacement but its too big for the airport so i just wanted to make sure i couldnt get a violation ect.

Actually, on the expert server, there is an active NOTAM stating that only GA aircraft are allowed to land at Lukla. This is the same for most airports with similar conditions, like London City, Aspen, and Eagle County.
But you can’t be reported for flying on A380 to Lukla, Aspen, LGA, etc. if they’re not staffed by ATC
You’d better take the Caravan.

You shouldn’t encourage it. Moderators will report you if they see, and I believe IFATC can report you too, even if they are not staffing the airport. It’s not worth the risk and also doesn’t uphold the standards of the expert server.

I admit that my example is incorrect. I wanted to say that in most airports it’s not prohibited.

Too be fair ive seen an A380 landing at TNCM on expert server and the A380 is too big for TNCM
Ah dang i was really hoping to use the Dash 8 ive flown the Dash 8 into some airports up in Alaska that where too small and nothing happened.

If there’s no NOTAM you can use the dash. But if there’s ATC (which I highly doubt) then they might deny your entry.

Yeah there wouldn’t be ATC at this Airport and the runway is long enough for the Dash 8 to land on.
If there’s no NOTAM, no. If there is a size restriction NOTAM, moderators and IFATC supervisors will report you if you do.

hey @aatogamer when did Training at KLGA got NOTAM
Training server doesn’t have NOTAMs as far as I know, as it’s supposed to be a training environment if that’s what you meant.

At the very least if it does exist (can’t check no sub) you can’t get punished for violating them I don’t believe

You can even take off with an A380 from Lukla! I don’t know who’s stupid enough to try that though 😭
