What do you make of this exciting news? Will you be flying with the new FlyBe anytime soon?

So so so excited they’re are coming back, I never flew on them before they went bust in C***d so I’ll defo be flying with them now and since they will be flying out of Heathrow that’s even better as then I don’t have to travel anywhere else to fly on them. Think I’m going to book onto an AMS flight.

Agreed. They definitely look in a strong position at the moment. I regularly travel up and down the country but with the Flybe relaunch I may even consider flying instead!

The definition of insanity: “doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results”
I could be totally wrong. I just don’t see how if they use the same planes, same brand, same strategy, and same routes why they expect anything different. Their brand drastically failed last time, and from what this shows, they’re just doing it again. They’re competing out of places like Heathrow, where you have airlines like BA and VS who dominate the connecting market.
For example, if I was flying from Edinburgh to Los Angeles, I would take British Airways all the way, not a FlyBe flight that connects me in Heathrow to British Airways. Now I’m not saying this is an automatic fail, I think they will be successful as long as they are able to market themselves correctly and are able to pull people in to fly them.
However, on the other hand, they are, from what I have seen, offering amazing prices. Flights are as low as £20, and that is what I think could be their compelling case to bring people in. I mean, their prices are lower than many train rides. Compared to airlines like British Airways, who sells flights for over £100, and the fact that trains are slower anyways, could be the hope for FlyBe.
So I’m conflicted. I wish them good luck, though.

Really good point. The UK domestic market is very saturated with airlines like BA, EasyJet, LoganAir. It will be interesting to see what the next year will hold as it will not be easy. I believe they can do it though! :)
Daily flights between London Heathrow and Amsterdam will certainly be cool! I wonder what terminal they’ll use at Heathrow, it seems like quite a small aircraft to operate in such huge terminals.

Probably Terminal 2 like before and they used remote stands

Not going to lie, I kind of liked the old livery better, but at least they’re back! Always good to see airlines rising out of the ashes, it was a sad day when they went bust.
