Boom shakalaka!
Our April month activity broke all the the previous records in our VA - Big shout out to our pilots in the AYVA family. We passed the milestone of monthly 700 filed pireps by far and ended up
closing the month with amazing 3478 flown hours (actual).
Congratulations to @if_finland for becoming Pilot of the Month with those amazing 434,5 filed hrs. You joined us very recently and we love to see your determination and competitiveness. The Race was again tight for POTM.

Finnair Virtual Crew Center found its new home at ATLAS, the latest Crew Center product from VACenter - increasing speed and stability and improving the user experience for our pilots.
Huge shout out to our pilots for the swift action on last weekend, keeping up the activity despite crew center change and keeping the planes in the skies.

Finnair Virtual introducing Interline Agreements
Finnair Virtual is further enhancing its relations to Infinite Flight VA/VOs with a new airline partnership program - Interline agreements. The new form of cooperation is a lighter version of codesharing, allowing Virtual Airlines and Organizations utilize each others network to offer variation for their pilots in a controlled manner.
Interline agreement partnership with Finnair Virtual offers partners:
- Allowance to offer VA/VO’s pilots AY routes from Finnair Virtual’s extensive route network for limited time periods with a handpicked route (for example include the selected AY route in a Route-of-the-Week posting)
- Access for 1 staff member on AYVA Discord Server. Mutually a requirement to provide AYVA staff member access to partners Discord server (for interaction and monitoring the interline agreement activities)
- Opportunity join Finnair Virtual’s Interline group flight events and increase interaction between airlines and pilots.
When entering Interline agreement with Finnair Virtual both airlines grant access in each others route databases, allowing airline staff members to handpick routes to inspire pilots with new opportunities. These shared route databases are not to be shared publicly to pilots. The Interline agreement continues as valid until further and can be terminated with 30 days written notice.
Q&A:
What is different between Finnair Codeshare and Interline partnerships?
- Codeshare partnership offers airlines pilots opportunity to utilize the given and before-hand agreed Codeshare airline networks at any time. Flying and filing PiReps can take place at any time.
- Interline partnership is a VA/VO staff controlled cooperation where the route database is not publicly shared to pilots, but offered on limited time frames and handpicked routes with agreed limitations. At Finnair Virtual we allow 1 bi-directional route per week to be offered to Interline airline pilots. The Interline partner controls which route is offered for their pilots without further approval required from AYVA.
How can an airline apply for a Finnair Interline agreement partnership?
- Staff members with role of CEO or COO can apply for the partnership with the given link in this post.
Why should an airline consider interline agreement with Finnair Virtual?
- We strongly believe in cooperation between VA/VOs and by offering a new lighter form of cooperation we can inspire pilots to fly more: new routes, new areas, new fleets, new opportunities - all increasing the activity in total in your VA/VO.

Open Recruitment Begins!
As part of our celebrations for our 3 year anniversary, we will have active Open Recruitment for the month of June - beginning today. This means, you will not need to take our compulsory written test and can join instantly after filling out our new application form. It has never been easier to join one of the most active VAs in Infinite Flight.

At Least Grade 3 in Infinite Flight.

May I have your attention please
The month of May was definitely a needed cooldown period for our crew, aircrafts and servers after the record breaking months. Despite our crew were taking naps in the cockpits in the humming sound of APU we still managed to pull together quite nice figures. Thanks for all our pilots for contributing and flying our passengers and cargo around the World.
We are also sincerely thankful for our pilots for bringing our small VA
to the 5th place on the IFVARB ranking (March/April).

The month of celebrations
Finnair Virtual turned 3 years in June and the celebrations weekend offered our pilots and IFC community plenty of activities and fun moments at crowded airports. We want to send you our gratitude to each and everyone who participated the events and celebrated the special weekend with us. It meant alot to us!
Change in AYVA leadership
We kicked off the celebrations weekend with a news of CEO change at Finnair Virtual. @MikaL took over the responsibilities of airline CEO from @Pilot_Aaltonen as he continues to serve the airline as COO. We wish MikaL strong tailwinds on his task in leading Finnair Virtual to a new era.
Operational highlights
Our activity recovered from slow May-figures and was boosted with our open recruitment to attract new pilots to our virtual airline. We received all together 49 registrations from new pilots, although only 27 of them managed to pick up the phone and respond when we needed the crew on flight deck. We are thrilled to have you joining us as our crew consists now of 71 pilots in total.
Congratulations for @VictorKatila for another Pilot of the Month award. He flew 383,9 hrs and filed 29 pilot reports in June as he continued to lead the tight race. Better watch out for July, as the other pilots are keeping our fleet busy up in the air.
The Summer months are ahead of us, so make sure to take a cooling dip in the pool every now and then!

Finnair Virtual proudly presents - ATC Mode
Together, with our Crew Center solution provider ATLAS by VACenter, we have developed the headlining feature of ATLAS v1.4 ATC Mode, a feature that seamlessly integrates the roles of pilots and air traffic controllers within the ATLAS platform. For the first time ever we are bringing the IFATC controllers more closer to our daily life at Finnair Virtual, allowing us to enjoy the ATC services, when our dear controllers are ready to open the frequencies.
We at AYVA Staff team are thrilled to bring this new feature as a First Airline in Infinite Flight for our Virtual Airline pilots and its devoted ATC controllers - allowing our loyal controllers now progress on the new ATC mode and progress on their controller career within Finnair Virtual.
