FlugWerk's Focke Wulf FW 190

Desgined by the German engineer Kurt Tank, first flying in 1939 and put into service in 1941, the Fw 190A became one of the main fighters of the Luftwaffe during WW2, just behind the Bf 109. With a wider landing gear track and heavily armed, the 190 became an Ace Maker and participated in every theatre of WW2, wherever the German war machine was present. Over 20000 machines were built, from the A-0 to the D-13.

The variant shown in the video was built by FlugWerk and given the designation FW 190 (instead of Fw 190). The engine is a reproduction instead of being an original BMW 801.

Love this. The Fw 190 is one of my favorite WW2 planes, ngl. Shame it can’t shoot, or isn’t allowed to, would be very cool to see.

Love Kurt Tank his designs too, shame he didn’t get to finish/perfect all of them…

I’d say Tank perfected the design of the 190 in the Ta 152. Though the 152 had no correlation to the 190 because of so many new parts, maybe the landing gear were the only original parts that kept going since the A-0.
