FlightSmart issue

It seems FlightSmart is down. @darkeyes do you plan on renewing the domain?

Hopefully it comes back :cry::sob:

I noticed that, if you use SimBrief performance calculator for the time being, it can calculate your t/o speeds, take a educated guess on how much N1 power you use, it doesn’t tell you that.

Hello thank you for link update!

quick question how do I know which speed is for which flap setting as you can see from the screenshot, the rotate speed is same for both those flaps setting? I doubt

It’s suggesting that you can consider Flaps 5 or Flaps 15 for takeoff given your load.

There may be some instances where you’d want to consider Flaps 15–particularly if you anticipate needing shorter takeoff distance…like if the runway is short or you’re heavy.

From the 777 quick unofficial guide it says to use flaps 5 for the -200er and 15 for the rest if you are are around 60-90%.

For more details, you can use SimBrief to calculate your V1, VR, and V2. Generally, higher flaps for the same load will give lower rotation speed.
