When I’m planning my flights in Simbrief I do try and have it give me as close enough to the same route the IRL flight did. Naturally IRL flights get “direct to ____” instructions which Simbrief can’t replicate.

yee its fun i do that too with jetBlue if in real life they delay the flight i do it too lol something cool too that JFK they use alot the Runways for taxiing sometimes were there is too much traffic and i will love to see that on IF its gonna feel so realistic !

As a realism geek this is what I already do lol.
Since your a JetBlue fan, I might as well point out to you too if you haven’t noticed already that when corporate assigns routes to their pilots, unless weather is a factor or something instead of creating a flight plan for them they just send a already created flight plan. This is why when you look at a certain flight’s path it’s so similar on certain days. I love keeping track of these reused flight plans, and I’m even working on a Google sheet with all of them lol.

As someone who loves realism i will create a Simbrief fpl as a base and then i will add onto or take out waypoints from the fpl to try and match the real life route exactly which usually takes me around 30 minutes!

I love realism as well. I’ll normally go on the Flightradar24 app and select a flight of my choice. I’ll replicate the flight number, the departure time, and a few others, but honestly, I have absolutely no time to make the flight plan exactly the same or almost the same.

Yeah that’s totally fine to do just that i must admit i take it to extremes with trying to make my flight plan to be the exact same as the FR24 route and yes sometimes it drives me crazy but my ocd makes me do it
