UAL1719 cleared to land as reverse ops ends it appears? 🤔 I guess this is just the first time I’ve observed it on FR. (Obviously not the first time this occurred at any airport.)

First time flying to Canada. Economy bulkhead as well

Saw smthn weird, realized it wasn’t bc it was real. Saw a 777 with its gear down in its climb at like 1500 feet.

I’ve only seen it a few times, but it’s for when you have a long taxi, and you need to cool down your brakes quickly.

I didn’t even know that was a strategy.

Or it could be there is something inoperative with a brake, meaning waiting a brief interval of time for the gear to stop spinning before retraction (maybe?)

It is December in NY after all, brakes shouldn’t be getting that hot i would think…

Uhhh… It’s only a no more than 30 minute drive… Haha! Just kidding, if someone could confirm, would I be assuming correctly that this is essentially a repositioning flight? (Since CMH is a NetJets base.)

Funny enough the last time I saw this happening was in January. aviation can be mysterious

repo flight

happens fairly often
